A Modern Tuxedo Jacket Look At The Walt Disney Concert Hall
A Modern Tuxedo Jacket Look At The Walt Disney Concert Hall
I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas holiday. We had a great time with family and friends and even managed to catch a couple of movies. My husband and I really enjoy going to the movies and with award season being just around the corner, it is the perfect time of year to catch some of the good nominated ones. Last weekend we saw “The Imitation Game” and “Theory of Everything” and I highly recommend both of them. We have a few more on our list and I look forward to seeing a few more this weekend as the holiday celebrations continue. Speaking of which I can’t believe its New Years Eve again and 2014 is coming to an end in a few days. The last few years we have gone out of town for New Year’s Eve or attend a few big parties we were invited to. This year however, we have decided to stay home together and have a low key New Year’s celebration.
So it’s New Year’s Eve, what are you going to wear? I wanted to show a New Year’s Eve inspired look I came up with this week on the blog. You already know about my love for jackets, and tuxedo inspired jackets are on top of the list. First of all who doesn’t love a man in a tuxedo; they look so sexy and chic. In my opinion they have the same effect on women, maybe even more so. I decided to show you my version of a tuxedo inspired look at one of my favorite locations in Los Angeles, The Walt Disney Concert Hall. It is such a beautiful building and I can easily say it’s one of my favorites in the world. We have done a photo-shoot here before and I know we will continue to do so in the future.
I bought my tuxedo inspired jacket last year from H&M (I know even I was shocked to find a jacket like this at H&M). I loved pairing it with these super wide leg trousers that I have had for a long time. Add on just a simple white camisole and some simply beautiful gold jewelry to finish the look. It’s actually a simple yet dramatic and modern women’s fashion look that I love.
What are your thoughts on tuxedos for women and how do you like my look?
I look forward to a fabulous 2015 and sharing more Jacket Society looks and blog stories with all of you. Thank you so much for reading my blog and leaving wonderful comments. They truly mean a lot to me and inspire me to continue writing and sharing more stories with you.
A Happy & Prosperous 2015 to you all

This is such a beautiful and classy outfit. Love the tuxedo blazer and the details on the back!! You are ready to rock any party in this. I absolutely believe every woman should have a good fitting tux blazer, it defines and shapes the body like no other piece of clothing!
Happy New year to you as well.

Loving this- the sharp shoulders of the jacket are a nice contrast against the palazzo trousers. Looking fierce, lady!

I love your edge to your outfits. ANd Happy New Year, best to you and yours in 2015. We were supposed to go to dinner, but I have had a down turn with my disease, 2 weeks so far. Anyhow, I love the wide leg pants on you, how they flow and the unexpected proportion of the cropped jacket. Looking great as usual. I saw the Imitation Game, love Ben Cumberbatch, my hunky BBC guy, and it was a great movie. We saw Foxcatcher, which I really didnt like much. Hubby did. Want to see The Theory of Everything
