A Second Look At Our Roma Blazer

A Second Look At Our Roma Blazer

It finally feels like we are back to our normal schedules and routines after weeks of celebrating the holidays.  As much as it is always sad to see the holidays end, there is some kind of comfort level in getting back to one’s normal daily routine.  Our “End of the Year Sale” just ended and I am so glad so many of you took advantage of the savings and ordered items from us.  We were super busy and sold out of a lot of items in our jewelry section as well as a lot of our ponchos and wraps.  I will be super busy this week and the rest of the month working on new merchandise for the store.  So stay tuned!

Today I wanted to take this opportunity to get some feedback from you; my customers and readers about my blog and the shop and how we can improve on what we are doing.  I am working on a lot of new ideas for both the blog and the shop but I would love to hear some feedback from all of you.  Here are a few questions I wanted to put out there:

  1. For our jewelry category I will be adding a slightly higher priced/better line of jewelry in addition to what we have, do you like this idea?
  2. What other category of jewelry would you like to see in the shop, like earrings or bracelets?
  3. Due to high demand and many suggestions via email from you, I will be adding a tops/blouses category, do you like this idea?
  4. What type of jackets/blazers would you like to see more of?
  5. What kind of styling questions would you like addressed and answered on the blog?
  6. What kind of blog topics would you like to see more of?
  7. Any other ideas for me to feature; give me your input?

I am also very excited to announce that every week we will have a “Flash Sale” on the Jacket Society items that are featured on my blog story for that day.  This “Flash Sale” will only be on the item/items that are featured on the blog story that day and will last for only 24 hours so if you are interested in the items you have to act fast.  The code for this weeks Flash Sale will be FS0112 –  you can apply at checkout and get 15% off this weeks showcased items only.   This new feature starts with today’s blog story so make sure you take advantage of it. – The Code will change every week.

As for my outfit today, I wanted to style the Roma blazer for a second time, you saw it styled the first time here.  This week I have paired the Roma Blazer with my wide leg jeans which are trending now, cream sweater, gladiator sandals and our animal print scarf (which matches the lining on the Roma jacket so perfectly and looks so good together).

You can purchase the Roma blazer here and the Brown mix of animal print scarf here and save 15% on both items with code FS0112.  Remember this is a Flash Sale and is only valid for 24 hours, so don’t wait.

What do you think of my outfit – let me know your thoughts in the comments about my questions and do you like the “Flash Sale” idea?

  1. Great blazer! I think having a flash sale is a great idea!

Here are my answers to some of your questions:

    1. For our jewelry category I will be adding a slightly higher priced/better line of jewelry in addition to what we have, do you like this idea?
Yes, I like that idea, especially because it sounds like you’ll be keeping what you have (the pieces you currently carry are great, and I have been tempted to order numerous times…).
    2. What other category of jewelry would you like to see in the shop, like earrings or bracelets? I’m really only interested in necklaces.
    3. Due to high demand and many suggestions via email from you, I will be adding a tops/blouses category, do you like this idea?
    Yes!
    5. What kind of styling questions would you like addressed and answered on the blog?
I like seeing one items styled more than one way.

  2. Nora, this looks amazing as always. As to the type of styling questions. I would like to have suggestions of where the outfit could be worn besides your occasion. I am in tbe over 40 category and my husband and i occasionally enjoy going to a bar to see a Blues Band. Of course i always want to dress age appropriate, but i am often concerned that my oufit is not trendy enough. But with that said, since i have been following your blog, those feelings are occuring less often and I thank you for that. Looking forward to all your new ideas in 2016.

  3. Wow, you’re expanding into tops and blouses. Good for you. You’re leaping further. I would like to see your jewelry line expand. I love rings, though I know rings can be tricky because of sizing. I happen to have very thin fingers, and finding cool costume rings has proven difficult. As you know, I absolutely adore your items, but I was blown away by the loopy sweater. Any plans on expanding into more sweater-type designs?

By the way, I love the little surprise of leo peeping from under your cuff. A little hint of danger is always good. Great look, Nora. I’m so excited to see your 2016 creations!

    1. Hi Glenda,
Thank you so much for your input and your encouraging words, means a lot to me…rings are tricky, I too have the same problem of having thin fingers and not being able to buy anything unless its custom made. As far as sweater category, absolutely I will be expanding that category. To me sweaters and cardigans fall under soft jackets that is why I have already introduced some pieces and will have more in the future.

Love this styling! So refreshing to see pants that are not skinny (but I sure would love to have your long legs!). Great jacket and the scarf is stunning.

    1. Hi Phyllis,
Thank you so much! I am actually only 5’4″ and my legs are average..its important to wear these pants with heels if you are not tall or don’t have long legs.

  5. Great outfit – love the scarf. But do I already have toooo many animal prints?? Have loved them for years! It looks as though the scarf may have some gray in it too – is that so? I could definitely use one with gray.
    Thanks

    1. Hi Anne,
Yes it does have a little gray but its mostly browns and a little black. If you are interested in it you should get it now since its on a flash sale 15% off with code FS0111. Thank you so much for stopping by.

  6. I loved your loopy sweater, also, but I missed out on it in my size. Will you be bringing it back, I hope?

    1. Hi Jeanne,
I can’t get anymore of the exact same one at this time but I will keep it in mind for future. We do have one small left and they are kind of stretchy…not sure what size you were looking for.

  18. What a beautiful blazer, I am always a fan of blazers with special details like the leopard lining that you’ve here. I love blazers and wear them often and would love to buy one of your one of these days. I have extremely large arms and finding a blazer that fits me is challenging.

Thank you for being a part of TBT Fashion link up and hope to see you soon!

    1. Hi Alice,
Thank you so much, I am sure your arms are not “extremely large” 🙂 If you are ever interested in one of our blazers, let me know and I can send you measurement for the arm or you can give me a brand that you wear their blazers and we can compare sizing. I would love to see you in one of our pieces 🙂

  20. So I was already of the opinion that this Roma Blazer was rather the catch then I spied that glorious leopard lining and yours truly is sold. What a delightfully charming (and smart) idea, Nora 🙂 and yes, I would very much welcome the idea of a weekly flash sale. It’s particularly enticing for those of us who have long been tempted by your designs yet not taken the plunge. Yet. And tops/blouses would be a very useful addition to your portfolio, without a doubt.

In terms of jewellery, it would be lovely to see sleek yet statement pieces particularly geometric or cubic shapes. Pieces that would offset the busier backdrops of printed blazers.
