Black And Taupe A Timeless Classic Color Combo

We are so spoiled in Los Angeles with the constant sunshine and blue skies, so when it rains for more than a day or two everyone panics. This week it has been cold and raining every day, so it now gets to feel like winter finally.

This weather obviously makes it difficult to start thinking about what to wear for spring. We just want to bundle up in something warm for now. Most stores are starting to get their spring inventory but who is ready to buy any spring? I would love to know if any of you are shopping for spring right now. So the question comes up as to what do you shop for in January?

For me, I still buy fall clothing as it is going to be cold for at least a few more months. I know that may sound weird for someone like myself who lives in sunny California. Having said that I am definitely keeping my eyes open as to what is coming for spring. I am the type of person who likes to buy something and wear it right away so I usually shop closer to the season.

For today’s look I wanted to restyle two of our warm faux suede and faux shearling cape vests, the taupe one and the black one. It is also available in a blush which you can see here. These cape vests have sold really well for fall, especially the black one. We only have two pieces left in black. They are super chic yet cozy and comfy to throw on with black or blue jeans and automatically they make your outfit more stylish.

I wore them with our Black Taupe Ribbed Stripe Mock Neck Top which obviously works perfectly with both colors. The top is a made out of a soft ribbed knit and the color combo of the black and taupe makes it such a classic. The body is loose and the length hits right below the hip.
