Chic Casual Style For The Weekend

Chic Casual Style For The Weekend

We have been experiencing uncharacteristically cooler weather for August in Los Angeles this week. Normally its super hot at this time of the year with temperatures reaching 90-100 degrees but this week we have had partly cloudy skies with pleasant temperatures in 70-80 degrees. I actually like this as it is getting me more eager and ready for fall season. With kids going back to school, including my son who moved back to USC housing this week, you can’t help but feel ready for fall.

Today I am debuting our new Navy Plaid Shirt Jacket with Pockets.  What is great about this piece is that it can be worn as a light weight jacket or a shirt. The reason I call it a jacket is the two pockets it has in the bottom.  Either way this is a great piece that you can wear now and take it into fall. It’s a great layering piece where you can wear a top under it and you can still wear another jacket or coat over it for cooler days.

It also looks great all buttoned up as a shirt or tied in the front which I have shown you below. I wore it with my skinny jeans and our Ivory Criss Cross Top which I first debuted for you here.

This Ivory top is is a great rayon lycra piece with a trendy criss cross front detail that looks great on its own or as a layering piece and can easily go into fall as well. It looks great tucked in or left out and I have shown you both options below. For accessories I used our Blue Ivory Gold Charm Bracelet which I love either worn on its own or stacket next to your watch or other bracelets.

I also decided to give you a second option for a jacket with our Blue Knit Cropped Peplum jacket, which I first debuted here. We have sold a lot of these jackets and we only have a few pieces left and they are currently on SALE and you can get another 15% off the sale price this weekend so if you like it grab one before they are gone, It is super cozy and comfy for fall. I finished off my look with Tan bootie sandals, belt and cross body bag.

All four Jacket Society pieces I am wearing today are part of our weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% with code FS819 plus Free US Shipping and $25.00 flat rate for all international shipments.

  1. Nora, you look great. I know you’ve just got back from holiday and it shows. You are tanned and rested. Both the jackets (shirts?) are lovely. As is the the ivory top (for anyone who doesn’t need to hide their wrinkly chest haha).
I have a similar plaid vest but yours is more versatile.

  3. 3 great ways to style that ever-versatile cross-front tee. Love the two new jackets, how cool that the plaid one has pockets and works as a shirt, too. The cardi-jacket is awesome and that outfit looks great with the tee tucked in or out. And cute bracelet!

Hope you enjoyed your Europe vacation, dear.

  7. […] Plaids are trending again for Fall 2017 and this is a great piece to add to your wardrobe that can work with so many pieces. I mainly styled it as a jacket today but you can easily button it up and wear it as a shirt or even tie the front which is a fun way I showed you last time with the Navy color way. You can see that blog story here. […]
