Color Trend Alert For Spring Buttercream

Color Trend Alert For Spring Buttercream

A few weeks ago, I debuted our new Navy Lightweight Shirt Jacket or Shacket, as they are called now. You can see that piece here and today I have another Shacket but this time in a new color.

I am calling the new color Butter, but it is pretty much the same color as Pantone’s Spring 2021 trend color called Buttercream which is in their “classic” color section. I shared the Pantone Spring 2021 color trends with all of you a few months ago and you can see that blog story here.

When I debuted the Navy Lightweight Shirt Jacket, I explained the trendy term shackets that is being used for these kind of pieces that are a combination of a shirt and a jacket. They are really well suited for spring and summer when you don’t want to wear heavy jackets.

In today’s new style feature I am showing you our new shirt jacket in our new pretty butter color which is actually almost a neutral. The fabric is soft and lightweight, and the body is loose and slightly oversized. It has a collar and a cascading soft lapel.

The sleeves are long; however, there is a tab you can use to fold them up and wear them as ¾ length and It also has two welt pockets in the front.

I have paired it today with a new leopard top, our Tan Brown Leopard Print Short Sleeve Top. Back in September we had a Henley top in this same fabric and print and it became an instant best-seller and I had to re-order it a few times. This top is made out of the same fabric which is a soft textured knit that is printed in a beautiful leopard print.

The body is semi loose with the front and back a bit longer than the sides. It has a V neck with a 1” band and two decorative buttons in the front. The short sleeves make it a perfect piece to wear for spring and summer.

For jewelry today, I have a perfect new necklace for “Mother’s Day” which is just around the corner. Our Gold Chain “MAMA” Pendant Short Necklace is perfect to buy as a gift for a special mom or of course you can gift yourself with it as well!

Since the necklace is small and dainty, I wanted to add earrings so I am also wearing our Gold Tone Hoop Earrings, which are great hoop earrings that you can wear with many looks.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with

  1. This buttercream color is such a lovely shade of neutral for the spring and I really like your leopard print top. Your necklace is so pretty, too, and perfect for Mother’s Day!

    1. Isn’t it? I love it as a new neutral too Shelbee. Thank you so much for stopping by.
