Our Earth Tone Poncho Perfect For Cold Weather

Our Earth Tone Poncho Perfect For Cold Weather

Finally we are experiencing a real fall and winter season in Los Angeles and I love it!  We have had cold weather, heavy rains and thunderstorms, all of which are helping us get out of the drought that California has been experiencing for the last few years.  Over the last few days it has been raining pretty hard and for the first time, I can really sympathize with the bloggers who live in cold states where the weather conditions are never perfect or even close to being good especially when they are trying to schedule a photo shoot for a blog story.

I have had to check the weather this last couple of weeks every day to plan our shoots accordingly because of all the storms rolling through.  I now realize how spoiled we are with the normal “all year round sun” that we enjoy here in Southern California.  Having said that, I must say I love this change of weather and the fact that it finally does feel like winter, so I am taking full advantage of this fact to dress accordingly as I love wearing layers,  jackets, shawls and ponchos.

I realize a lot of women including myself wear a lot of black and grays during fall and winter.  They are just easy to throw on as base colors and mix easily with bright colors.  But I also love earth tones especially brown which is one of my favorite colors.  I love wearing brown with denim, which is one of my “go to” color combos especially for this time of the year – so today I am showing you a new look with this color combo.

Introducing our new Aztec inspired pattern poncho in a brown, rust and taupe color combo which is a beautiful piece made from a super soft jacquard fabric.  I love the earth tone color combo with the dark brown and rust orange.  It also has a bit of taupe/gray in the pattern which makes it easier to wear with lighter neutrals like taupe or gray.

I am wearing this new Poncho with my skinny jeans and my favorite ivory turtleneck which I am loving right now.  As for accessories, I have added our gray cord and bead knot necklace which can be worn many different ways and it can even be worn as a belt.  The cord can be unknotted so you can wear it any way you want even around your waist.  I have shown you two different ways you can wear it as a necklace below in the photos.  It also comes with a set of tassel earrings which I chose not wear with this outfit because it didn’t look right with my turtlneck, but you can see the earrings on the product page.

My bracelet is another new piece that I am calling  “black gold bead bracelet with charms” note that the black beads of the bracelet are different shades which makes this piece easy to wear with brown as well. I finished off the look with my favorite leather color, cognac booties and bag.

All three items are available in our shop and you can see the links for each one below.  Limited quantities so do not wait to purchase as I know they will sell out quickly.

  1. What a beautiful piece, Nora. I love browns too and my husband always says I look good in them. This poncho is a great statement piece. I love the way you paired it with the turtleneck and skinny jeans. Your accessories are the perfect additions. You have a lovely variety of colors and textures in this outfit. Thanks for posting. – Amy
