Fall Trend Alert Chenille And Plaid

As I have been designing and looking for product for Jacket Society for fall, I have come across lots and lots of chenille sweaters and cardigans.

Chenille is one of those fabrics that is perfect for fall since it is super soft and cozy. Here is a fun fact about the name chenille. It actually means caterpillar in French and it refers to the fuzzy surface of the fabric resembling the hairy look of a caterpillar. The fabric itself as you know is used for a multitude of things like throws, blankets, shawls, sweaters and cardigans among other things and I think we can all agree – we love it!

Since chenille is trending this fall, I wanted to offer some pieces in our shop, so today I have our first piece which I am calling our Sienna Long Chenille Cardigan with Pockets. The fabric is so soft, and it actually does not have a lot of fuzz because it is finished in a different way. The color is also very pretty as well and can be worn with so many items in your wardrobe.

Another trend that is big for fall is plaids, so I have found the perfect plaid shirt to go with this long cardigan. Our Long Plaid Shirt with Side Button Detail is made out of a soft rayon fabric and the color combo is tan/black/sienna, so it is a great match for the chenille cardigan.

The second-best thing is that it is long, so you can wear it out as a long shirt or even as a short shirt dress with leggings. However, the sides have buttons and if you unbutton them you can even tuck in the front and leave the back long. I have shown you both looks below and how each one looks with the chenille cardigan.

I also threw in our Tan Burgundy Plaid Square Shawl Scarf because it looks great with this chenille cardigan. This shawl is a great plaid piece as well that you can wear with many other pieces.
