How A Vest Can Work As A Jacket

How A Vest Can Work As A Jacket

I have always loved vests. I think they are a great replacement for jackets during those hot summer days.  Today I have two looks for you that look great on their own, but even better when you add a vest to them.  Granted the same outfits would look great with a jacket over them too, but I thought since its summer, I would style them with a vest.

For the first look, I wore our Blue Ruffle Sleeve Jersey Top with my skinny jeans. I first debuted this top for you here and back then I tucked in the top but today I am leaving it out. We have this same top in an Ivory color which was featured on my blog a couple of weeks ago and is a best seller.

I call this top a great t-shirt with a twist, since the ruffle sleeves make it unique and different from any other rayon jersey t-shirt.  I love this shade of blue and it looks great with denim and It will also work well with white and black.

Even though the top on its own when styled with jeans, great heels, a necklace and a bag works perfectly fine as an outfit, I have decided to take it up a notch by adding our Ivory Cascading Collar Cargo Vest. I first debuted this vest for you here. It is a stylish cargo vest made out of soft fabric with a beautiful cascading collar. It looks great open or you can tie the drawstring belt to cinch the waist for shape.

For today’s second look, I am wearing our colorful Navy Blue Coral Jersey Floral Print Faux Wrap Dress, which is an easy pull-on dress that you can wear for any occasion.  It is super comfy yet chic enough to wear to work or any fun outing. This dress looks great on its own or with a jacket over it as I first showed you here. I think it also works just as well with a vest over it as I am showing you here below.

So you see how easily a great looking stylish vest can take the place of your jacket or sweater for the warmest months of the year.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS728 plus Free US Shipping.

  1. I love that the vest is white, it really work with so many tops and dresses given that it is a clean palette to work with! It is just gorgeous with that summery blue top and that dress!

  2. I don’t own a vest. Never have worn them. But today I was thinking of a dress with a vest. Perhaps I should try one!

  3. I love vests too, Nora and you have styled this one beautifully. I love that floral dress and it looks just as pretty with the vest as without. – Amy
