How To Elevate Your All Black Look

How To Elevate Your All Black Look

I think all black looks are always chic, even for summer. They are a great base to start your outfit with and then add other pieces to elevate your look. Depending on the season, the additional pieces can provide a pop of a bright color or even a neutral.

These type of outfits also make a great transitional look and since we are all starting to think about fall a little bit, I have such a look to share with you today.

I started off with our new Black Round Neck Short Sleeve Top and my cropped black skinny jeans. The top is a new addition to our rayon modal jersey tops which have become a staple for us. It is a great quality black top/t-shirt that you can wear in many different ways.

I am showing the all-black look with two different toppers.

For the first look I wore our Straw Drop Shoulder V Neck Sweater over the t-shirt, and I think it looks fab. It is a great year-round sweater that you can wear anytime. The color is a super pale yellow, which to me is almost like a neutral and that is why I am calling it straw.

It is knitted in a really nice yarn and the body is loose and a bit over-sized. It has a V neck opening and drop shoulders with long sleeves. The back is longer than the front with small side slits.

For the second topper, I am wearing our Butter Cascading Collar Belted Duster Coat, of which we only have a couple of pieces left in our shop.

This is a great medium weight rayon coat that you can wear open and let the cascading collar fall as is or you can wear it belted. For today’s look I have only styled it open with the belt tied in the back, but you can see how it looks belted in our store photos.

It has two side pockets and long sleeves that are folded up with a tab and button detail. The color is a really pretty butter shade which is almost a neutral as well. The front body is lined with a light-weight fabric but the rest of the coat is not lined.

For jewelry today, I wore our beautiful Gray and Gold Bead Necklace Set which looks really nice with both looks.

The gold part of the necklace picks up on the straw and butter colors of the toppers. Remember this is a great necklace set where you are getting two necklaces that you can wear together, individually or combined with other necklaces.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS714.

  1. There really is nothing better than an all black outfit, in my opinion! It is my go-to. But I love the contrast of the ivory with the black. Super striking. And that sweater is just so adorable! Thanks for linking up.

    1. Hi Shlebee,
I totally agree with your all black look opinion. Thank you for stopping by 🙂

  2. How fun that my blog post on Monday was about all black looks. One dressy and the other casual. I added color but I really like the addition of the metallics in your looks. Very pretty!

    1. Hi Mireille,
