How To Pull Off A Chic Pattern Mix
How To Pull Off A Chic Pattern Mix
I hope all of you had a wonderful Motherโs Day weekend.ย Thank you so much for all your lovely comments on my Motherโs Day blog story.ย I had a beautiful day with my two favorite men.ย My son is now old enough where he can plan our Motherโs Day outings and this year he surprised me with brunch at a beautiful restaurant called “71 Above” in Downtown Los Angeles.
It is located on top of the US Bank Tower nearly 1000 feet above downtown Los Angeles. It has a circular dinning room reaching nearly all the way around the building with views that stretch from Malibu to Laguna Hillsย and right across the Los Angeles basin – Hollywood hills and the San Bernadino mountain ranges. Not only are the views spectacular but the food is amazing as well and I highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the Los Angeles area.
We had a great time eating and pointing out all the Los Angeles landmarks through the window next to our table and then afterwards on the viewing platforms at the Oue Skyspace. If you follow me on Instagram, then you might have seen my Instagram stories and photo.ย You can see the web site for the restaurant here.
Today I am showing you a look that I personally love and I can say it is truly my own style.ย As you already know I love blazers and our Blaire Houndstooth Blazer is one of my favorites.ย It is such a classic that it is timeless and season less.ย I have shown you the blazer a few times for fall but I wanted to style it for spring.ย I love mixing interesting patterns together and one of the patterns that usually mix really well together are houndstooth and stripes which are very similar to checks and stripes.
This is why our Black and White Stripe Shirt works really well with our Blaire Houndstooth Blazer.ย They are both black and white with the only difference being that the blazer has red in the pattern as well. I have styled the shirt both tucked in or left out as I think it looks great either way. It is a classic shirt that you can wear with many items for different occasions.
To make it even more interesting I added another pattern into the mix with our brand new Black and White Paisley Neck Scarf which is made out of 100% silk fabric and is super soft and chic.ย You can wear this neck scarf many different ways around your neck and even tie it around your bag handle. ย You can see a few different ways I have shown you in the photos below but it would be best to check out all the different ways in our shop.
We have also added another new silk neck tie scarf which has a colorful bird print pattern and is also really pretty. ย You can see that piece HERE.
With all these patterns mixing together, I wanted to keep the bottom simple and a solid color so I chose my skinny black jeans.ย Since it is spring I wore my red high heeled sandals which picked up the red in the blazer and gave the outfit a pop of color.ย To finish off the look I added my Gucci belt and bag.
Our Motherโs Day Sale that started last week has been extended – The sale will now end tonight at midnight.
You will get 15% off on everything in our store including the items I am wearing today with code MD17 plus Free US Shipping.ย All international shipments are a $25.00 flat rate.ย Sale will end tonight at midnight.

Love this, Nora. I always love a casual chic look any way and this is perfect. I think the prints go very well together without being overwhelming. For people who don’t know how to print mix or are afraid to try, these would be two great pieces to invest in for an instant mix. Thanks for sharing this great look. – Amy

This is SUCH a great outfit. I’ve been trying to mix patterns more and I LOVE how you mixed patterns in this outfit! At first I thought the top had a neck band but I love that it’s a scarf! I’m pinning this for inspiration!
