How To Style Our Watson Houndstooth Blazer For Fall
How To Style Our Watson Houndstooth Blazer For Fall
Last week I introduced you to our brand new Blaire houndstooth blazer, you can see that blog story here. So today I want to show you another new blazer, the Watson houndstooth blazer, which is a sister to the Blaire blazer. They both have the same silhouette and shape and they are both made out of a beautiful Italian made houndstooth fabric. The only differences are in the scale and the color of the houndstooth pattern. The size of the houndstooth pattern on this jacket is a bit smaller and the color combination is a classic navy and tan.
Just like the Blaire blazer, it is designed by myself and made here in Los Angeles. The pattern and color of this blazer also makes it a classic piece that is timeless. It has gold metal buttons, a novelty stripe lining and a navy contrast under collar. I have shown you a couple of different ways to wear it below in the photos. My favorite way is to wear the collar up to show the contrast under collar and the sleeve folded or crunched up to show the stripe lining.
Blazers always look great with shirts especially for fall so I really wanted to do a shirt with this blazer. I also love the idea of mixing a stripe pattern with the houndstooth blazer. Therefore, I came up with our Savy Stripe shirt which has an ivory background with a medium brown stripe. Not only do the pattern of the blazer and the shirt mix well together, but the shape of the shirt looks great under the blazer as well. It is a loose easy body with a notch collar, buttoned cuffs and it is slightly longer in the back than the front. I chose to tuck it in for my look, but it can look just as good left out with the blazer.
As for accessories, I have two new pieces that both look great with the shirt and the blazer. One is our new Tan/Brown voile abstract print scarf/shawl which you can wear in so many different ways as I have shown below in the photos. It has a mix of beautiful colors that can be worn with so many different outfits as well. The second piece is our Multi strand bead and chain necklace hanging from a gray rope which is also a really pretty necklace with pretty colors that make is very versatile to wear in many different ways.
I styled all these pieces wearing my brand new boot leg cut Rag & Bone jeans in a dark navy clean wash. I bought these jeans a few months ago as I wanted a jean with a different kind of leg than skinny or wide leg. This shape is really flattering as it is slim on the thigh section but flares a little in the bottom to balance out the hips. If you have not tried this kind of a jean, I highly recommend them, especially if you are a little heavier on the hip or thigh area. They can really work in your advantage especially in dark colors. As for my shoes, belt and bag I used my favorite color leather which is a cognac and its my “go-to” color most of the time other than black.
The four new items I am showing you today are all part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS125 plus US Free Shipping. Limited quantities on all the pieces, so if you like any of them now would be the time to grab them.

The lines on the button down are my favorite part of this outfit! All of these neutral colors look great too and I love the little bit of color the scarf adds.

Thanks for linking up to Top of the World Style. I love this shirt. How do you do that it doesn’t bulge up in the front? It looks so nice and plain in the belly area!

Hi Nicole,
Thank you! The shirt is made out of a really soft fabric and I tucked it in and didn’t pull it out to bloson too much.
