How To Wear A Blazer Casually

How To Wear A Blazer Casually

I have noticed that a lot of women think of blazers as something to wear to the office or a dressy occasion only. This doesn’t have to be the case as blazers can really take an outfit to the next level. Personally, I look at them as any other cover up like a cardigan that you can either wear casually or dress it up. Maybe it is because I like blazers so much and I tend to wear them all the time. Some days I will wear one with jeans and sneakers and other days I will dress one up with a pant or skirt and heels. It all depends on how you wear it to make it appropriate for different occasions.

Today I am showing you a casual look I styled with our Blaire Houndstooth Blazer.  This blazer is a great piece that you can dress up or wear casually.  I wore it with my side-stripe pants which I bought from Zara a few months ago. They are black with a red and ivory stripe on the side. As you know side-stripe pants have been trending for a while and they are still going on strong.  I wore the two pieces with my own light weight ivory sweater. As for my shoes, I wore my red Gucci slipper mules (Christmas gift), as a pop of color.  The same outfit would work with sneakers, boots or even heels, and each shoe will give it a different look. That is how much shoes and accessories can change an outfit. The bag I chose also contributed to the casual look. I chose a bigger tote bag which has a more casual look over a clutch or smaller shoulder bag.

We have two brand new plaid shawl/wraps that we have just added to our shop so I wanted to add one of the to my outfit. I chose  the red/black one as it works perfectly with my look. I like how the plaid pattern works with the houndstooth pattern of the blazer. The shawl is also available in a black/ivory combo which you can see here. This color way would also work with the blazer.

Last but not least I added our fun “Believe” Necklace to my outfit as a slogan for starting 2018.  “Believe in yourself and anything is possible”.

All the Jacket Society pieces I am wearing today are part of our “End of the Year Sale” that is still going on in our store. The sale will end on January 9th at midnight.  Here are the details for the sale:
