How To Wear Olive For Spring - Just Style LA

Personally I believe olive is a neutral that you can wear year-round. It is a nice alternative to black and brown and it works with lots of other colors. I think most people may think of it as a perfect fall color, which it is, but I also think it works just as well for spring. It all depends on how you style it. One tip is to wear it with lighter and brighter colors and accessories with more spring and summer like items.

Today I am re-styling our Olive Cargo Jacket which I first styled for you here. This time I am wearing it with a more spring appropriate look. It is made out of a wonderful super soft Tencel fabric. Tencel is very similar fabric to rayon but it has a bit more weight and the hand is even more buttery.

The body is a traditional cargo style body with a drawstring cord belt, antique gold zipper and snaps, four pockets with a button and long sleeves that include a tab for folding them up. For today’s looks I am wearing the sleeve folded up but you can see store photos of the sleeves long.

To go along with this olive cargo jacket, I have the perfect soft blouse which is the sister to our Paisley Floral Print Boho Peasant Top which I styled for you here. That piece sold out quickly and we have recently re-stocked it.

Everything about this top is the same as the last one with the exception of the color combo of the print. This one has the olive as its main color but mixed with beautiful pinks, tan, and cream.

The fabric is a semi crinkled georgette, and the top comes with a separate cotton camisole in a tan color, so you don’t have to worry about it being see-through. The body has peasant style detailing with full, three quarter length sleeves and a tie with tassels in the front.

For jewelry today I am wearing our Blush Stone and Gold Tone Chain Fringe Earrings and a new bracelet set, our Multi Layered Natural Gold Bracelet Set.
