Kimono Season Is Here

Kimono Season Is Here

Late spring and into summer is the perfect time to pull out your kimonos or look for some new ones. They are not only a fun and stylish substitute for jackets during hot summer months, but they also work great as cover-ups over swimwear at the pool.

Today I have styled our Coral Kimono with Crochet Details with a tie front. This is a beautiful kimono to add to your wardrobe. It is made out of a wonderful soft rayon fabric in a very pretty shade of coral. The body is loose and easy to wear but it has a tie which you can use to cinch in the waist.

But the best part of this kimono are all the pretty and delicate details. First of all, the back has a beautiful crochet insert, and secondly it is finished with a pretty trim all around the edges. It also has a nice decorative stitch in the front and a self-tie with two tassels at each end.

I am wearing it over our Ivory V Neck Short Sleeve Top which is one of our staple rayon modal jersey tops that we always re-stock because everyone loves them! It is such a great top on its own and a perfect layering piece.

Now when it comes to scarves, I know a lot of women don’t think of scarves as a summer accessory. However, a light weight, pretty colorful scarf can really pop a summer outfit.

Here are a few suggestions in how you can wear them for summer:

  1. Loosely around your neck, almost like a necklace
  2. Long and loose especially with longer outerwear pieces
  3. Around your bag or hat
  4. If they are big enough, they can even work as a wrap around your bathing suit

For today’s look I have added our Coral Floral Stripe Border Print Scarf with Tassels which works perfectly with the coral kimono.  As for a necklace I am wearing our Matte Gold Chain Necklace with Round Pendant and Beads. We only have two pieces left in both the scarf and the necklace.

All four pieces I am showing today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% OFF with
