Our Jackson Pollock Inspired Print Jacket

Our Jackson Pollock Inspired Print Jacket

About a month ago I did a blog story about printed jackets and at the time I mentioned that I was working on putting together some new print jackets for my women’s jacket collections.  Well, I am super excited to say that two new print jackets have arrived and are now available on our web site along with two new similar jackets in solid colors. Over the last few days we have been busy photographing and uploading the new jackets to the website for today’s launch and over the next few weeks I will be styling each jacket here on my blog like I usually do.

When I was shopping for printed fabrics and I saw this print, I immediately thought of Jackson Pollock, who is one of my favorite painters of all time.  As you probably know, he was an influential American painter and a major figure in the “abstract expressionist” movement.  His unique style of painting was called “drip painting” and that is exactly what the print of this jacket reminds me of.  I really love the beautiful mix of colors that consist of navy, blue, white with a touch of red and coral.  The Pollack jacket silhouette is shaped with a cascading soft collar that drapes in the front and is such an easy piece to wear with almost anything.

Last weekend when we were going out to dinner in Pasadena I decided to wear the Pollock jacket.  I knew it would look great with denim or anything navy, but because we are in the middle of summer I decided to wear it with white.  I chose to wear it with my white fit and flare skirt, but it would work just as well with white pants or shorts. I have always liked mixing stripes with prints, so when I saw this blue and white stripe tank top at Target I knew it would look great with this jacket.

Last but not least I added one of our beautiful pearl necklaces with fringe, my tan mules and my favorite tan Prada bag that I have had for a few years.

You can purchase the Pollock jacket Here and the necklace Here and all the new jackets are now listed Here.

  1. Hi and Good Morning to all,

I recently purchased and awgggg returned jackets. They are too narrow in the shoulders for me. If there are any changes to your sizes in the shoulders I would be so happy. I love the Pollack jacket!!!!!!!!

    • Hi Sharon,
Actually we have gone a bit bigger in our sizing. I will send you a seperate email with measurement for the shoulder for the Pollack jacket and see if it will work for you.

  2. I love the waterfall jacket, one of my favourites! The colours and pattern are stunning. I like how you’ve styled it with the stripes and short white skirt. You look great.

  3. I love that you have added more non structured pieces to your line. I really like the print and cut of this one! You make everything look fabulous! Susan

  4. That Jackson Pollock is perfect for Summer as is that adorable, chic white skater skirt. That necklace is one of the most gorgeous from your collection. I want it. How much does it cost please?

    • Hi Ada,
I am so glad you like the jacket and the necklace!! Unfortunately the necklace is sold out 🙁 I have limited quantities in my jewelry and they sell out quickly. There are a few other necklaces I have with pearl and fringe so check out our jewelry section in our shop. Thank you so much for stopping by.

  5. Jackson Polluck is one of my favorites! I love nothing more than when art inspires fashion. Have you seen the jackets inspired by Dali in the 30s? Truly epic! You look WONDERFUL!
