Plaid Cape Jacket & Shawl Collar Vest

This is one of my “Plaid” finds this season

As promised in my blog post “Mad for Plaid” a few weeks ago, I am sharing with you one of my favorite “plaid” finds of the fall season.  I found this great looking plaid cape jacket / vest a few days ago when I was shopping and I love it!   I love the versatility of how you can wear it a couple of different ways, as a cape jacket or a shawl collar vest.  I have demonstrated it both ways in my pictures below.  Of course there are a lot of other ways you can wear it as well to dress it up or down, with boots, belted or even with a slim skirt.

Today I am wearing it with my favorite jeans and some pointy pumps to dress it up just a little.  I wore a basic long sleeve t shirt underneath but a short sleeve t shirt or tank top would have worked just as well.  I wanted to keep it simple and wear something slim for a layering piece because the plaid piece has a lot of volume already. This is a great look for a casual night out or a lunch date with a girlfriend or even to work if you can wear jeans to work. I also like the earthy colors with brown which is one of my most favorite neutral colors.  What do you think of this piece?  Leave me some feedback….
