Prints Are A Spring Staple Year After Year
Spring is here yet again and of course with it comes the โspring stapleโ trend of prints especially floral prints. Prints are a spring staple year after year.ย I have been in the fashion business for a long time and as far back as I can remember, floral prints have always been a trend for spring summer. Flowers are, after all, a symbol of spring and with this every spring season we see an array of floral prints done in different ways and colors. But itโs not just florals, there is other kind of prints like geometrics or dots and stripes that make the spring season more playful and fun. This is the time when most people take vacations or spend a lot more time outdoors and what better way to represent that fun spirit than wearing some great prints.
I have been more excited about this springโs floral trend because I have been seeing a lot more womens jackets and blazers done in floral or other kinds of prints. Normally we are used to seeing prints done in a lot of tops, skirts, dresses and even some soft pants but not so much in jackets. But for spring 2014 a lot of designers have come out with innovative and unexpected ways of doing prints in tailored blazers, moto jackets, baseball jackets and even vests. The outcome has been great and it has put a fresh spin on doing prints in an unexpected silhouette.
Below I have picked some of my favorites from the spring 2014 runways. I know I will be looking for some printed jackets this spring and I will share my finds with you.
How about you? Please let me know your thoughts on printed jackets.

Prints are definitely always a must but I especially am loving printed jackets this season. Mixing prints is always a daring look (which I love) but nothing adds a bit of pizazz to a more simple look than a printed jacket ๐

Hi Bree,
I couldn’t agree with you more, I love the printed jacket trend especially mixing it with a print top. I tried doing that couple of weeks ago on my post about Easter at the Getty villa with my graphic jacket. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you come back ๐

Loving all these prints! They add so much interest to an outfit. I love feminine floral jackets when they’re styled with something more masculine to add contrast. Great selections above.

Whenever I think of florals and spring, the Devil Wears Prada automatically comes to mind. But you’re so right, they’re forever a spring classic ๐

Beautiful looks! We’re finally feeling some fall weather here in San Jose, CA, so I’m not ready to think of spring yet, but these floral jackets are so lovely!
