Reflecting Back On 2020 And A New Casual Look

Well, we are almost at the end of 2020 and what a year it has been!!

All I can say is I am glad it is coming to an end and I am so looking forward to a new year and hopefully a much better one.

Reflecting back on the year, for me the one thing that stands out the most is a new perspective on life. I have a much deeper gratitude for the things that I do have, a loving home and family, health, food on the table, etc. So many things we took for granted in the past years have become so essential this year.

Here is a quote I love that sums up 2020 for me:

“Enjoy the small things in life for one day you will look back and realize they were the big things”.

As for today’s look, I am wearing our Burgundy Waffle Knit Cowl Neck Top with my skinny jeans and black booties. When I was looking to add a cardigan/jacket I decide to go with our Tan Brushed Long Sleeve Knit Cardigan.

Originally, I styled this cardigan for you in our “Loungewear” category with some of our joggers to wear at home. Even though it still works perfectly with loungewear items, today I wanted to show you how easy it is to wear the same cardigan as a regular outfit out.

The fabric is a brushed thermal knit which makes it super cozy and comfy. The body is loose but not oversized, with two pockets, long sleeves that are finished in a cuff.

As for our Burgundy Waffle Knit Cowl Neck Top, this top is the same body as our Heather Gray Waffle Knit Cowl Neck Top and you can see that one here. The color is a very pretty shade of burgundy that will work with many other neutrals and of course black.

The top is made out of a soft, cozy and light weight waffle pattern fabric. It has a fold over cowl neck, drop shoulders and long sleeves. The body is loose and the back slightly longer than the front.

For accessories today, I am wearing our Maroon Multi Color Leaf Print Square Scarf Shawl which picks up on the burgundy top and tan cardigan. I also added our Gold Chain and Clover Necklace with Tan Beads and Fringe.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with

Code: FS1229

All USA shipments are Free and Canadian shipments are a flat rate of $25.00.

Also, our “gift with purchase” which we have been offering throughout the holidays will end on December 31st. You can take advantage of it while it last by spending over a $100 in our shop. Once you do, you will get a free gift with your purchase which will be either a scarf or a jewelry item hand-picked by me!

I hope you have a great New Year’s Eve and Day this week. Please stay safe out there and I look forward to bringing you more looks, products and style content in 2021!

  1. A very chic look with the artfully draped scarf, and it looks equally good with the lariat necklace. Great to see you at #WowOnWednesday. Hope you have a Happy New Year!

  2. Great perspective and great quote, Nora! 2020 was definitely a challenging time for us all and I am so glad to see that many have gained a new perspective on things. And that is a good thing that came out of this past year. I am loving these cozy casual outfits! That cardigan is wonderful and is perfect for both loungewear and leaving the house-wear! Thanks for linking with me. Wishing you all the best in the new year!
