Sail Away With Kate, Our Resort Inspired Stripe Jacket
Sail Away With Kate, Our Resort Inspired Stripe Jacket
Stripes have always been one of my favorite patterns. From menswear pinstripes to Bengal stripes, shadow stripes or multi stripes, I love them all. Even though I personally gravitate more towards vertical stripes for bottoms, dresses, and blazer jackets for women, I don’t mind horizontal stripes for t shirts, tops and blouses. In other words: horizontal stripes in smaller doses and vertical stripes for your bigger pieces. This is because vertical stripes have a flattering lengthening effect that can benefit any woman in looking slimmer and taller. With this in mind, when I was looking for spring fabrics for my Jacket Society jacket line, I came across this beautiful crisp nautical inspired blue on white multi stripe and I immediately fell in love with it and had to include it in our line of womens spring jackets. Nautical stripes, especially in blue/white, are so timeless and classic that they don’t really go out of fashion and you can wear them season after season with different colors and accessories to update your look. You can go preppy, edgy, sweet or sporty depending on the way you decide to style them. I decided to do this stripe in a classic three quarter sleeve cropped womens boyfriend blazer. This type of jacket can be worn a lot of different ways to make it more casual or dressy. I chose to wear it with my wide leg jeans, platform sandals and some gold jewelry to highlight the gold buttons on the jacket. It has a clean, crisp look and makes me feel as if spring is really here. I am calling this jacket “Kate” and they will be available for sale this weekend at the Unique LA show in Los Angeles (I hope you will come out and see us at this show if you are living in the Los Angeles area). It’s at the California Market Center, 110 E 9th St, Los Angeles CA 90079. May 3-4 from 11:00-6:00. Soon after that, they will be available on our website as well. What do you think of our Kate Jacket, I would love to hear your opinion?

I bought this jacket at Unique LA. I wore it out of the booth and the rest of the day The fit and construction is perfect. As my first exposure to Jacket Society, I was surprised how well the jackets fit. I bought this one and one of the fall style jackets. When I tried them on at the show, I thought the mirror was distorted to make you look better than reality. Later on it still looked perfect in the mirror at home. Love your jackets!!! I will keep a eye on the website for new styles.
