Showcasing Our Asymmetrical Jacquard Cape Jacket

Showcasing Our Asymmetrical Jacquard Cape Jacket

It is great to finally see capes, wraps and ponchos becoming main stream and available in alot of the stores and not just on the fashion runways.  I’ve always loved them for fall but it has taken a while for them to take off and become a necessary piece in every woman’s wardrobe.

I am so excited that we are adding these kind of pieces to our online store as well, with the first piece being this asymmetrical jacquard cape jacket in black/ivory that I love.  One of the great things about this piece is that it is actually a cardigan, but because of its great shape it can be interpreted as a cape and that is why I am calling it a cape jacket.  It is made of a beautiful soft jacquard knit with a geometric print design in black and ivory.  It has one big button in the front for a closure and the button itself is very special piece that looks like a pin on its own.

I chose to wear this jaquard cape jacket last weekend out for a dinner date with my husband.  Lately, we love going out to dinner in downtown Los Angeles because there are so many great restaurants opening there and we just love the energy and the vibe there.  It doesn’t hurt that there are some great places to do a photo shoot as well.  The restaurant of choice this time was Drago Centro with acclaimed chef Celestino Drago. It is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles on Flower Street close to a lot of high rise buildings and the Westin Bonaventure hotel.  It has a beautiful interior, delicious food and great service.  I highly recommend it if you are in downtown Los Angeles area at any time and are looking for some good Italian food. You can see their website and menu – Click Here

I styled my cape jacket with a pair of black skinny jeans and an ivory top along with some black sandals.  As a pop of color I included my brand new red Prada bag that I absolutely love and have been using daily.  I also added one of our tassel necklaces that has a black/grey stone which works perfectly with the cape jacket.  You can get the cape jacket here and the necklace here.

What are your thoughts on capes and ponchos, will you be buying some this fall and what do you think of our cape jacket?

  4. Very elegant cut of the jacket. Tailored but without being too formal. Perfect with the black jeans. I’m in two minds about ponchos and capes this season but I really like this style.
