Spring Trend Alert Shackets

Spring Trend Alert Shackets

It’s time for all of us to get familiar with shackets! You may have already heard about them or even own one since they started trending towards the end of last fall.

Shackets are a combination of a jacket and a shirt, hence shacket. Last fall there were a lot of different versions these in plaids and most of the bodies looked like an oversized shirt. In my opinion they are much better suited for spring and summer in lighter weight fabrics.

Today I have a new item I am calling a shacket in a beautiful navy blue. The fabric is soft and lightweight, and the body is loose.

It has a collar and a cascading soft lapel. The sleeves are long; however, there is a tab you can use to fold them up and wear them as ¾ length. It also has two welt pockets in the front.

With Easter right around the corner, I have styled the navy shacket with a pop of yellow, which is a perfect color for spring and especially for Easter. A slightly brighter shade of yellow called Illuminating is one of the colors of the year from Pantone for Spring 2021.

Our Chamois Textured and Solid Knit Top provides this pop of yellow for the outfit today. Chamois is basically a lighter shade of yellow that is very soft and pretty. The top comes in a few other colors that I have styled for you before and they have all been best sellers.

Those colors are Slate Blue , Off White, and one left in Tan.

It is made out of two different knits. The front and back are a textured knit and the sides and parts of the sleeves are a solid knit. The body is loose and a bit oversized with long sleeves and a V neck. It has raw edge detailing in parts of it which makes it unique and stylish.

For a scarf I am wearing our Lemon Multi Color Patch Work Print Scarf. The border around the scarf is a lemon yellow that picks up on the chamois yellow top and looks great with it.

As for a necklace I am wearing a new Double Layer Gold Chain Eye Pendant Necklace. This is a trendy necklace which covers both the evil eye and the layered look trends that are currently trending in stores.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with
