Stephanie Jacket Styled For Day Time Look To Date Night Look

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.  We decided to do something last weekend we had not done in a long time, go bike riding!

We got an early start Saturday morning, drove down to Santa Monica beach, parked near the third street promenade and then walked down to the pier to rent bikes for a couple of hours.

We headed off toward Marina Del Rey and after an hour we headed back to the pier enjoying the weather and all the Venice board walk has to offer.  I hadn’t done this in such a long time and I definitely felt it in my legs and lower back the next day but it was all worth it.

If you follow me on any of my social media sites like Instagram and Facebook, then you should have seen my picture next to my orange bike. Afterwards we had a wonderful lunch by the beach and then we went to see the “The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel”.  Like many others, we loved the first one, so we really wanted to see how this one compared.  As usual, the second one was not as good as the first one, nevertheless it was still funny and we enjoyed it.

Moving on to my look for today, I have wanted to do a story showing one of our jackets styled for a daytime look and how simple it is to just change your bottom and make it into a date night look.  I decided to do this with our Stephanie jacket which is a perfect spring and summer jacket.  Many of you have nine to five office jobs and have to dress a certain way to the office.  Once you are done at work and want to run out to a dinner party, drinks with a friend or a hot date night, you don’t want the same formal office look.

All you have to do is take your best jeans (black or blue) in the car with you and you can change from your skirt into your jeans and you are good to go.  Of course there are other pieces you can change as well, like your shoes, bag, or even your top, but the way I have decided to style mine is by simply just changing into jeans and changing my bag from a big slouchy bag into a trendy clutch. I have kept everything else the same including my shoes, belt and jewelry.

Speaking of jewelry, this beautiful silver multi chain necklace and earrings are one of the few silver tone pieces we have available for sale on our web site.  Personally I gravitate more towards gold tones, as it looks better with my complexion, but I do love silver as well and as some customers have requested, I will have more silver jewelry available for sale on the web site in the near future.  For now this is a great piece and you get matching earrings with it as well.  It is available by clicking here

How do you change from a day time look into a date night look when you have no time to go home and get changed? And what do you think of my look?

  2. Love how you’ve teamed the blazer with jeans for your night out Nora. I’d be lost without my jackets for wearing with jeans when I go out as they’re the perfect combination whether it’s a night out with hubby or a catch up with the girls. Those silver sandals are beautiful too.

    1. Hi Martina,
Thank you for your compliment, I wear sunglasses mostly because we shoot outside and its sunny and bright in Los Angeles most of the year. Being a fashion designer I also like the dramatic look it gives an outfit, I try to take a couple of pictures without my glasses as well at every shoot.
By the way my name is Nora, the jacket is called Stephanie 🙂

  7. I think I mentioned to you once before that I seldom wear jackets or blazers, and I have no clear reason why. When I see others in them I swoon. As I’m doing now seeing you in this easy cut. I recently selected a white jacket for a collaboration and wore it on the blog. I loved it. Maybe I’ll add more of them to my wardrobe.

  12. That skirt looks great with that white blazer and I really love the white cami with it, too… sometimes I am afraid to layer white over white, but the cami has the fun little detail on the top and with that gorgeous necklace… it just looks great! I love the jeans look, too!

  17. Really love that blazer. I have had a white double breasted blazer for about 6 years now and it’s still the chicest thing in my closet. It pulls every look together from work to weddings. Love how you styled it here- especially with those killer silver sandals!
