The Fierce 50 Campaign And Meet Lady 50 Plus

The Fierce 50 Campaign And Meet Lady 50 Plus

Today, Feb 19th marks the launch of the first annual Fierce 50 Campaign.  As women over 50, we are coming together in a supportive and collaborative community to honor and celebrate one another and to share with the world what it means to be a woman at midlife and beyond.  Through this collaboration, each woman has developed a unique bond with their blog partners, opening their hearts and sharing their stories.  In building authentic connections and relationships, we are forming a community of women who have within them over half a century life experience and wisdom to share. We are joining together as one to begin shifting a worldwide perception of this demographic. We are here to show the world how powerful we are together and that we are only truly just beginning.

The Fierce 50 Campaign started because of fabulous Catherine McCormick and three other women, Shauna Robertson, Cathy Williamson and Doborah Boland.  You can read a great article in Thrive Global about this movement here, so I was thrilled to be a part of it when asked.

And now to my blog partner, I am honored to introduce you to Martina Berg from www.lady50plus.com.  Martina lives in Munich Germany and is an Image and Style Consultant.  I have been communicating with Martina over the last few weeks and have asked her some questions about herself and her blog and you can see her answers below along with some of her photos.  Please make sure you stop by her blog to find out more about her.

  1. Q: Martina can you tell me a little big about yourself and your background.

I’m 56 years’ young and I am an image and style consultant. I have been living in Munich for the last 8 years and have loved this city ever since I was a teenager.  On the weekends, I love to go on trips to the Bavarian Alps.  My job is to give seminars on styling and etiquette.  I have worked as a color and style consultant for the last 50 years.  Some women of our age group, do not know how beautiful they can look. So with my personal coaching and seminars, I show them easy styling and beauty tricks and I love seeing them so happy after I work with them.

  1. Q: How did you start blogging?

You will not believe this, but at first I had no idea how blogging works. I started the blog in December 2014 and before that I used to write many press releases about styling and etiquette.  One day someone told me about blogging and I decided to give it a try.

  1. Q: How and when did you start Lady 50 Plus?

Since I had no knowledge of blogging, I wrote my blog on a free platform at first.  After getting a lot of inquiries about cooperating on different projects, I decided to create my own website.  That was in May 2016 and that is when the blog was started and named Lady 50 Plus.

  1. Q: Anything else you would like us to learn about you?

All women are beautiful and it is easy to optimize one’s individual style and beauty.  My advice would be to stay true to yourself, but be courageous, even at 50 plus and try out new styles and looks.  We do not have to dress like our daughters or a 20-year-old woman, but we can create our own individual look with the right pieces.  It could be as easy as adding a new red lipstick, a gorgeous bag, a colorful scarf or a wonderful blazer.  All these things are good for us and our soul.  Try it and be brave, it’s so easy to look good!

It has been great to get to know, not only Martina through the Fierce 50 Campaign, but also so many other fellow bloggers who are beautiful women over 50. I hope you will stop by and check all of their blogs and get to know them.  You can see all the women and find out more about them each one by clicking on link below.
