Transitioning Into Spring With Our Pink And Black Plaid Duster

Transitioning Into Spring With Our Pink And Black Plaid Duster

As you know last Tuesday I did not have my usual style feature blog story because my husband and photographer was going through the very painful experience of passing a kidney stone.  In all the years we have been together, I have never seen him in such pain and I felt so bad for him.  I am super happy to say after surgery Tuesday night he is finally feeling better and we were able to do our photo shoot yesterday.

I know it is still cold in most US states, but we are still experiencing summer like weather here in Los Angeles. But regardless of the weather, I think we are all starting to think about spring. Stores have already stocked up on a lot of transitional and spring items.

For my look today I wanted to introduce our Pink and Black Plaid Duster which is a great transitional piece that will also work for spring and even summer. It is made out of a light weight fabric in an unstructured duster body that has an open front and belt which you can tie or leave loose.  It has two pockets and long sleeves with tabs so you can fold the sleeves up to make them three quarter length, as you can see I have done this for today’s look. This piece also looks great left open or even belted and I have shown you both of these looks in today’s style pics.

As you can see this duster works perfectly with our Mauve Criss Cross Three-Quarter Sleeve Top which I have styled for you a few other times. This is a great top you can wear now and also take into spring as well. I added a brand-new necklace that works great with these two pieces, our Blush Bead and Gold Tone Necklace with Suede Fringe.

Keep in mind, this outfit which is in soft shades of pink mixed with black can be a great casual look for Valentine’s Day as well.

I also wanted to style our Ivory Oversized Lace Up Sweater for you a second time so I decided to throw it on with my black jeans and the same necklace for a second casual yet chic look.  This sweater is a fun and trendy piece to wear now and you can easily take it into early part of spring.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS23 plus Free US Shipping. All international shipments are a flat rate of $25.00.

  1. It s good to read that your hubby is feeling better!
I like to fold the sleeves up, it looks more casual and I have never liked long sleeves on jackets and sweaters. Your blazer is a beautiful color!
