Trend Alert Velvet Bomber Jacket And Faux Fur Stole

Trend Alert Velvet Bomber Jacket And Faux Fur Stole

I am sure you have all seen and heard that Fall/Winter 2016โ€™s biggest trend has been velvet. This trend has been seen all over the internet and stores in the form of jackets, dresses, tops and accessories just to name a few. I also wrote about it on my blog story covering fall trends a few months ago and I have been working hard to add a couple of velvet pieces to our online shop ever since.

Today I am debuting our Black velvet bomber jacket with shirring which not only covers the โ€œvelvetโ€ trend, but it is also done in one of the most popular jacket silhouettes for this season, the bomber jacket. The jacket is made out of a soft stretch velvet and is fully lined.ย  It has shirring on the sleeves and the back of the jacket as a design detail. The collar, cuffs and the bottom of jacket are finished in a soft knit ribbing.ย  It has a nice chrome finish zipper in the front with two welt pockets on each side.ย  It is a great piece to wear casually or even dressed up for the holiday season.

I am wearing it today with a simple white V neck long sleeve t-shirt, white jeans, black booties and my new black Gucci bag.ย  As for my accessories, I have a couple of new pieces debuting today with this look. ย The first item I added to this look is our new fun faux fur stole. This piece is really soft and a nice quality faux fur piece that can be worn over any top, sweater, jacket or even a coat.ย  I love it mixed with the velvet as the two textures work really well together. ย The two other pieces are two new necklaces that we have just added to our store, each can work separately on its own or the way I have combined it in my look today.

I love mixing gold and silver and this is a fun way to do so.ย  The suede double string also works really well with the velvet jacket as the velvet and suede compliment each other.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS123 plus US Free Shipping. Think Christmas gifts here everyone – Limited quantities on all styles so do not wait.

Absolutely love this jacket! And I love the way you styled it with the white top and pants. You look so chic and svelte! Great necklaces too. I really need to have a jar to save my extra change in to put towards one of your pieces. Ha, ha. Thanks for sharing and I look forward to your other additions.

LOVE this look! How long are the sleeves in large?

    1. JacketSociety Avatar

      Hi Anne,
The jacket has a raglan sleeve meaning the measurement I give you will include the shoulder and the sleeve together as there is no armhole seam. From the point where your neck meets your shoulder all the way to the bottom of the sleeve (including the cuff) is about 29″ for a size large. Hope this helps and if you have more questions you can email me directly at [email protected]. Thank you so much for stopping by ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ve recently bought a black velvet bomber jacket quite similar to this, apart from those shirred sleeves which are very different. I’m a huge fan of velvet no matter if it’s on trend or not – I see it as an absolute classic. I love your styling as I would never have thought of pairing black velvet with cream jeans, and yet it works beautifully! It’s young and fresh and those jeans really show off your figure so well. A great post!
    Wishing a fab Christmas x
