Visiting Downtown Los Angeles Wearing My Soleil Jacket
Visiting Downtown Los Angeles Wearing My Soleil Jacket.
Last Saturday night we were invited to a great friend’s birthday party at a “secret location” which was only revealed on the day of the event by calling the “hotline” to make it extra special and unique. The address was 409 west Olympic, right at the corner of Olympic and Olive St in downtown Los Angeles. The building is called “The Reserve” which was once the home of Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco that includes vaults, secret passages, an underground shooting range and an armored car turntable in the basement. It was originally built in 1929 and occupied by the bank from 1930 until the early 1980’s. In 1984 it was placed on the nationl registry of historic places and then finaly renovated in 1990 into 78 luxury live/work lofts.
The party took place in the huge marble and stone lobby with 20 foot ceilings and was beautifully decorated with a pool table, oyster bar, grand piano, photo booth, artwork and so much more, all magically lit. The ambiance, food and the company was great so we had a wonderful time.
Since we were going downtown for this party, we decided to get there a little earlier and do our blog shoot for this week. Lately downtown Los Angeles has become one of my favorite go to locations to use as a backdrop for my photo shoots. With all the new developments and renovations taking place down there, you can’t help yourself but be drawn to the energy and vibe that is taking place downtown. I also thought this would be a great opportunity to wear my gold Soleil jacket again, so this time I wore it with my brand new harem pants that I bought recently from Zara. I love these pants, they are so comfortable and casual yet you can easily dress them up with some heels and a great top or jacket like I have done here. I am wearing it with a simple black camisole and a beautiful vintage Moroccan necklace that I love and have had for years.
What do you think of this look?
Jacket – Jacket Society Soleil jacket
Harem Pants – H&M
Camisole – Forever 21
Shoes – Trouve
Bag – Chanel
Sunglasses – Raybans

Hi Nora! Looking amazing as usual! I love the idea of a mystery party.. Sounds like an amazing building, I love historical building and it sounds wonderful. You look is awesome, I love how you combine edge with elegance. The gold jacket is so pretty, love how it drapes. As soon as I saw those pants, I said Got to have those.. Then I look but dont see them. They look so stylish and comfortable, two of my fav fashion words. Love the gold jewerly and your shoes are sexy too.

Hi Jess,
Thank you so much for your nice comment. I am so sorry I made a mistake…my harem pants are actually from H&M and I did buy them a week ago so they should be in the stores. I corrected it on the blog.

I’ve never been to a secret location party before, how exciting. I love your look today. The gold stands out against the black and goes well with the warmth in your hair. I love the large lapels too. Very flattering.

Those slouchy pants are so fun, I love them! They are so casual, yet don’t look super casual… Your necklace and bracelet are beautiful, too! The black against the gold of the jacket and jewelry works really well!

Not many women can wear harem pants but you rock them! Your style mix is fantastic and obviously your Moroccan necklace is the perfect accessory. Your blazer pulls everything together to a great look.
The party location sounds amazing!

Hi Annette,
Thanks for your lovely compliment, I can only pull off the harem pant look here because of the way I styled it. I know they are not easy to wear. The location of the party and the party itself were both amazing 🙂
