Walking Into 2019 With A Positive Attitude

Walking Into 2019 With A Positive Attitude

At the beginning of every new year we all decide to make new resolutions to make changes or improvements to our lives. Personally, I am not so big on making resolutions as they are hard to keep. However, I do like to re-evaluate the previous year and then decide how to make changes to have a better new year.

For 2019, for the first time I am going to make a vision board with my goals for the year. I have been reading about vision boards and how successful they can be in keeping you on track with your goals.

I have always liked and made mood and design boards that are specific to my career and they have helped me with my designing and styling, but I have never done a vision board that covers all aspects of one’s life goals. I would love to hear from any of you who have done vision boards and what your thoughts are about them. I will also keep you all informed when I do one and maybe even share it.

One thing I definitely want to work on for 2019 is having a more “positive attitude”.  I am not necessarily a negative person, but I am not the type of person who is eternally positive about everything either. I admire people who are always positive and happy no matter what is happening in their lives.

So for me the biggest thing I want to work on for 2019 is to be more positive and happy. I know it is easier said than done but I would like to declare it here and promise that I will try my best to improve in this aspect of my life.

This is why I titled today’s blog story “Walking Into 2019 With a Positive Attitude”. I hope you will all join me on this journey of positivity and happiness and be more grateful for what we have.

For today’s look, I have restyled one of our dresses that looks great for fall or spring, depending on how you style it. I know I haven’t introduced a lot of new dresses for fall and I promise we will have more dresses going into spring and summer as they really started to sell well last year.

This Black Jersey Floral Print Faux Wrap Dress with separate belt is an easy to wear and stylish dress that can be worn to the office or any fun outing. It is made out of a nice soft rayon jersey and printed in a beautiful floral print with a very pretty color palette that I love and it looks great with any jacket, blazer, cardigan or coat.

For today’s look, I wanted to do something a little different so I decided to style it with our Black Cape Vest with Fringe. It might not be a typical combo but I personally love the look and think it is a great alternative if you want something different than a jacket.

To finish off the look I added our Gold-Plated Chandelier Earrings with Black Stones and Gunmetal Gray Black and Gold Bead Bracelet. I also wore my black knee high boots which automatically make the dress more appropriate for fall.

All four pieces I am showing you today are part of our 24-HR Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS18 plus Free US Shipping. All international shipments are a flat rate of $25.00.

      Hi Jacqui,

I know I don’t do that many skirt or dress looks because personally I wear pants a lot more. But when I do I really love wearing dress and skirts and I will be doing more especially going into spring. Thank you for stopping by.

I could be more positive, too! Lol! I can be such a glass is half empty kinda gal sometimes! Ha! And, it really doesn’t help anything. I just love this dark floral patterned dress and the shawl adds such a lovely texture/layer to it.

      Hi Carrie,
I know what you mean, it is hard to always stay positive and all we can do is just be aware of it and try to stay as much positive as possible…Thank you for stopping by.

We all need to improve and be more positive year to year. My goals are similar to yours and I really want to try a vision board, some day. =) That floral dress is stunning and I love how you styled it in a more Wintery way. Great wrap and boots, Nora. =)
