How To Wear Our Florence Jacquard Jacket Two Different Ways
How To Wear Our Florence Jacquard Jacket Two Different Ways
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday whether you were hosting or visiting with family and friends. As I mentioned last week, we were hosting Thanksgiving dinner at our house as usual and even though it was a lot of cooking and cleaning, it was well worth it. It was great to see family and spend some quality time with them as we don’t get together often enough. It took my husband and I all of Friday to recover and relax a bit and by Saturday we were back to normal so we decided to go to a few stores in Beverly hills and catch a movie with dinner afterwards.
It’s that time of the year where a lot of great movies are playing and we had a hard time choosing but we eventually decided to see Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. We enjoyed the movie, not as much as the Harry Potter series but it is definitely worth seeing and Eddie Redmayne is terrific as always .
As for my look today, I wanted to style our Florence Jacquard Jacket again which you have seen before here and here. Because of its beautiful Italian jacquard fabric, this jacket tends to look dressy so I wanted to style it for you two ways. Obviously it looks great dressed up, but I also love wearing it with jeans which gives it a younger and cooler vibe.
For the first look, I have paired it with one of my favorite black dresses, our double strand gray pearl and copper necklace and earring set, silver sandals and clutch. I love how this jacket looks over a dress. It obviously looks great with black but it can work just as well with a gray or white dress or even a bright color like red or pink especially for the holidays. I would only wear it over solid color dresses though, as the jacquard pattern of the jacket should be the only focal point in your outfit.
For the second look with the same jacket today, I wore our Black and White Tuxedo Blouse under the jacket with my skinny jeans, added a belt and took away the necklace only leaving the earrings. I kept the same sandals but added a more casual daytime red bag as a pop of color. It would have looked just as good with black boots or pumps if you do not want to wear sandals during fall.
All three pieces I am wearing today are part of our Thanksgiving Holiday Sale which is still ongoing and it will continue until November 30th at midnight – Get 20% off your order when you spend over $100.00 enter code: HOL20 at checkout, Or take 15% off any order when you spend less than $100.00 with code: HOL15 at checkout.

As always, i love it with jeans the best. You always look amazing. Just a question though. Do you do the sewing when designing your styles; i have often wondered. You are so talented.

Hi Karen,
Thank you so much, you are too sweet! As for the sewing part, no I do not sew every piece I design as it would be impossible. Even though I can sew as it was part of my training in design school, I have local sewing contractors here in Los Angeles that do all my sewing for me. I pick all the fabrics, buttons, trims etc and design the silouettes but I don’t actually sew the pieces myself.

Nora,
I am a big fan of jacquard, and love this jacket! It looks festive and so pretty both ways you styled it, the silky black dress and those fab silver heels ready for a night out. You always look great in jeans as well.

I am sure hosting is a lot of work! We always host Christmas, have never done Thanksgiving. My husband and I are planning to see a movie this weekend, I need to see what is out. That jacket is so pretty, especially for this time of year with the silver color. That tuxedo blouse is gorgeous yet simple, love it!
