Wearing A Scarf With Our Black And White Boucle Poncho

Wearing A Scarf With Our Black And White Boucle Poncho

I know this winter has been pretty brutal so far for most states. From freezing temperatures to rain and snow, everyone is trying to stay warm and bundle up with lots of layering.

Normally most of us wear scarves with jackets and coats which is not only a great look but it also keeps us warm. Today I wanted to show you a little different look by combining my poncho with a scarf.

Our Black and White Boucle Knit Poncho with Fringe is a super soft, cozy and warm piece that you can throw over a sweater, jacket or even a coat for extra warmth. I first styled this poncho for you here.

What I love about this piece is that it has two ties on each side which make an armhole so you wear the piece as opposed to throw it over your shoulders. However, you can also wear it as a shawl by just untying the ties and leaving them loose. I have shown you both looks below in the photos.

Today I’ve styled this poncho with a beautiful feminine top we have just added to our shop, our Burgundy Bell Sleeve Knit Top with Lace. It is made out of a soft rayon jersey and the body is loose and easy to wear. It has a pretty lace detail on the front and back yoke. The burgundy color is super rich and looks great with the black and white poncho.

I thought this would be a great opportunity to add a scarf to this look so you can see that it is ok to wear a scarf with a poncho.  Some of you may think if you are wearing a poncho or a big shawl, a scarf would be too much with it. I think it is just fine, as long as you are careful what you wear underneath.  The main point is to balance the big shapes of layers with slimmer pieces underneath.

As you can see I wore these pieces with my skinny black jeans and I even tucked in the front of my top to show some shape. However, I have left the top out on a couple of the photos as well so you can see the different look.

Last but not least I added a brand-new necklace which is super cute and fun. Our Antique Gold Chain Necklace with Black Faux Fur Pompom and Fringe, just added to our shop.

All four pieces I am wearing today are part of our Weekend Flash Sale where you can get 15% off with code FS113 plus Free US Shipping. All international shipments are a flat rate of $25.00.

Also don’t forget about our FREE GIFT offer which will continue through to the end of January – When you spend over $100 in the store, you get a FREE scarf as a gift and token of our appreciation for your business.

  3. Your belt is so cute! I love the volume you have incorporated on top with the poncho-scarf combo, and the belt definitely ties everything together, in a way that emphasizes your thin figure. Skinny jeans work so well with this!
