Wearing The Monterey Moto Jacket To Start The Holidays
Wearing The Monterey Moto Jacket To Start The Holidays
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving, we sure did. Even though I feel a bit exhausted from hosting it at our house, I also feel very excited because Thanksgiving is the true start of the holiday season. From now until beginning of January we will all be busy with holiday related shopping, decorating, hosting dinners, and spending quality time with family and friends. I love this time of the year, as we all do and I can’t wait to share some holiday moments with you later.
The beginning of last week involved a lot of grocery shopping; holiday decorating and preparing everything for Thanksgiving Thursday, and obviously Friday was all about cleanup, rest and recovery. By Saturday and Sunday we managed to spend some time with friends, and even started a little bit of holiday shopping down in Santa Monica. I was excited to get out of the house and wanted to wear my new Jacket Society Monterey boucle Moto jacket which is my latest addition to the Jacket Society women’s jacket collection. Moto jackets have been very popular in the last few years and they are everywhere so I wanted to do something a little different. When I came across this beautiful boucle fabric, I thought why not try it in a Moto jacket. After experimenting with a few different versions, I came up with this shaped Moto inspired body that is longer in the front and shorter in the back and has a black nylon separating zipper which picks up the black yarn color of the black/blue boucle fabric. I wore it with my coated black jeans and added a great animal print snood that I found at H&M in the same color combo. To Shop This New Monterey Moto Jacket – Click Here
I am also very excited to announce that we will be participating in the Unique USA Los Angeles Holiday Market this coming weekend December 6th-7th from 11:00-6:00 at the California Market Center in downtown Los Angeles. Unique USA is all about designers and artists that produce Made-in-America products. It is also one of the only trade shows where you as a designer can meet your customer face to face and help them find new wardrobe ideas and sell directly to them. So if by chance you live in the Los Angeles or surrounding area, I would love to meet you, please stop and say hello. I will have this Monterey Moto Jacket at the show for sale in both the blue and red boucle’s as well as all the other styles on my website at great holiday prices.
This event is the only curated, modern made-in-America design show in the country – and it is the largest shopping event around. Seriously, it’s big – so get ready to shop from 350 designers & artists and support the local economy. It’ is very well attended by the public and has some amazing unique vendors that sell everything from handmade gift wrap, handmade jewelry, handmade candles, great men’s ties and all kinds of great gifts for the holidays. You will be a part of a unique experience, where you can buy gifts for family, friends and loved ones on your holiday list all in one place and you will also be supporting small local businesses and that means a lot to us, so it’s a win-win situation.
Tickets are available at the door or online Here: They include admission for both days – Free Photo Booth Photos, Free Drinks, Free Gift Wrapping, and more.
Don’t forget to let me know what you think of our Monterey Moto jacket and how I have styled it.

Love the jacket, and the way you’ve styled it! Nice to see a moto done in something other than the ubiquitous ponte, leather, or faux leather. Cute H&M scarf too – will have to keep an eye out for it !

Hi Lisa,
Thank you for stopping by, I agree with you that all the moto jackets are the same out there that’s why I tried to do it in a different type of fabric.

I have always wanted to attend this show, I have a friend that had a booth there as well. They always have it around the holdalls which makes it so difficult to attend. I love the blazer and how chic it looks with the coated jeans.

Hi Alice,
Thank you so much… I wish you had stopped by, I would have loved to meet you!

What a great look Nora! You look so good in the skinny jeans that you wear with your fabulous jackets. These jeans look like they are a very soft leather pant, I can’t believe that they are just coated jeans. And, if there is anything I would like to steal from you it’s your belts – Hermes!!
Love the whole ensemble!!!Cherie
