My Favorite Distressed Leather Jacket
My Favorite Distressed Leather Jacket
Do you love to travel? I do, and I have been lucky enough throughout my life to be able to see some beautiful and amazing places. I have always loved the adventure of it, the unknown, something different and new. When you are on vacation seeing a new country you want to be impulsive and say “yes” to every experience because it’s part of the fun. Somehow you get an extra energy boost to do more and see more even when you are exhausted. Seeing beautiful sites, learning about local traditions, eating amazing food and of course shopping is all part of the adventure of travel.
I know we all love to shop, but as a fashion designer I also like to check out ALL the stores and see what people are wearing in other countries. It’s very inspirational and I come back refreshed and full of new ideas. I always look for unique pieces to bring back with me, from clothing to other home décor items.
Six years ago we went on a wonderful trip to Rome, Italy and London, England. As you know both of these countries are capitals of fashion and you can’t help but want to go into every store and buy everything. One of my all time favorite jacket finds was during this trip when we were in Rome. Even though its six years old and I have worn it to death, I wanted to share it with you because it’s so unique and timeless and every time I put it on I get compliments. The distressed leather is beautiful to begin with, but the cut and top stitching detail make it even more special. I loved it as soon as I saw it, because it was different and I had never seen anything else like it. The fact that it was in my favorite tan color leather didn’t hurt either.
Going out the other day I wore it with my white jeans and a grey tank top. I love combining tan, white and grey. You can’t really go wrong with this color combo. I added two of my brand new necklaces that have beautiful grey and tan stones in them. Both of these necklaces are really beautiful and available for purchase Here and Here.
Its been quite warm recently in Los Angeles (like usual) and I feel bad saying this since I know most of you are experiencing brutally cold weather. Honestly I wish it would be a little colder in LA so we could experience somewhat of a winter season.
At night though temperatures tend to drop somewhat, so usually I like to take an extra sweater, shawl or scarf with me. That’s why I decided to add my grey and black leopard scarf. One of the best ways to do this without having to carry it in your hand is to tie it to your bag like I have done here. This scarf is also available on our web site Here

I can see why you love this distressed jacket so much, it is gorgeous! I have only been to Europe once and it was Paris two years ago and I just loved people watching! We are hoping to go to Italy maybe next summer and I am looking forward to checking out everyones style once again. It is exhausting, but so worth it! I love how your necklace picks up some of the grey in your top and some of the tans in your jacket.

Great fashion blog Nora ! I am a jacket fanatic and so intrigued with your distressed leather jacket that you purchased it in Italy! We are going in April of this year to Rome, Tuscany, Florence, Cinque Terre and Venice. Can you tell me where the best shopping for leather coats would be? First time there so would love to have some tips about shopping or anything you would like to share !
Ciao !
Susan-
Hi Susan,
How exciting that you are going to Italy, one of my favorite countries to visit. I have been to Venice and Florence but its been over 10 years so I can’t really remember stores or shopping areas there. A few of the famous places in Rome are Via del Corso, Via del Boschetto, Monti area which is more artsy, Euroma 2 which is their big mall (not sure you want to spend your time in a mall though), and I have heard about Castel Romano which are designer outlets, which might be worth a visit…I haven’t been there myself. I hope you have a fabulous time and thank you so much for stopping by!
