Our Florence Blazer Styled For New Year’s Eve
Our Florence Blazer Styled For New Year’s Eve
Happy New Year everyone, I hope you had a wonderful holiday season and are ready to do amazing things in 2016! Here is one of my favorite quotes for the New Year that I wanted to share with you: “A new year is like a blank book and the pen is in your hands. This is your chance to write a beautiful story for yourself”. I hope everyone will have a beautiful story to write in 2016.
As I mentioned last week on the blog and if you follow me on social media, you will know that my husband and I took a short trip to San Diego for New Years. It was a great little get away that we both needed and had been looking forward to. We have been to San Diego a few other times, but this time we decided to stay at the Palomar hotel which is in downtown San Diego and is part of the famous Gas lamp district which is a historical neighborhood. For the most part the hotel was very nice and one of the highlights was our room which was on the 19th floor so we had an amazing views of downtown San Diego and all the way to the ocean and Mexico.
On New Year’s Eve Day we went out for a bit of shopping and lunch at the Fashion Valley Mall which is a great shopping center. I managed to find a few great things, some on sale, which is always nice and afterwards we drove back to the hotel to relax for a while before getting ready to head out for a New Year’s Eve dinner. We were in the mood for a low key New Year’s Eve with a nice dinner and ringing in the New Year with a glass of champagne before going to bed. My husband had made reservation at an Italian restaurant called Bice in the downtown area so we could just walk to it from our hotel. We had a delicious pre fix dinner menu which we enjoyed very much and afterwards walked back to our hotel to ring in the New Year in the bar area.
I decided to take photos of my outfit in the hotel, before we headed out, since I knew it would be difficult to take photos at night. I wanted to wear something chic that had a casual and comfortable vibe, so I decided to wear my waxed black jeans and white silk sateen blouse topped with our Florence jacquard blazer. I finished off the look with a couple of our necklaces stacked together and my vintage Chanel bag.
If you are interested in purchasing any of these pieces, now would be a great time since we are still having our End of the Year Sale where everything on the web site is 25% off with code JS25. The sale will end at the end of the day on Sunday January 10th. You can purchase our Florence jacquard blazer here, the antique gold statement necklace and earring set here (only one left) and the three strand necklace and earring set here.
I will write more about our San Diego trip later in the week so stay tuned!

The jacquard Florence blazer was perfect for New Year’s Eve, especially with the leather skinnies. I love the boots and necklaces, Nora.

The images are stunning. I haven’t been to San Diego in a few years. Now I want to take a trip. I love it there. There’s a great jazz and supper club called Anthology…LOVE!
The hotel looks uber chic, classic with with eloquent details. Hmmm, very much like your outfit. Did you plan your outfit to fit the hotels decor? You’re perfectly succinct.

Hi Glenda,
Oh you are too sweet and funny…no I didn’t try to match my outfit to the decor but you are right it somehow worked! Lucky me 🙂 I wish we had known about the jazz and supper club Anthology. Maybe next time, you should take a trip out there, it is really nice. Thanks for stopping by 🙂

Oh my, what a gorgeous view! That blazer is a beauty as are those necklaces. I really like how those wax jeans look with the blazer, too. I have never been to San Diego, but it is on my list to see someday. Looks like it was a great way to kick off the new year!
