How To Transition Into Fall With Spring Colors And Items
How To Transition Into Fall With Spring Colors And Items
Itโs safe to say that all of us have started transitioning into fall in one way or another. Last week we had a terrible heat wave in Los Angeles. I think it was the hottest weather we have had in Los Angeles this summer and of course it was in Septemberโฆ.We finally got relief from the heat over the last couple of days and I hope it stays this way. Iโm personally so ready for fall and fall clothes, especially fall jackets for women.
This past weekend when we went out for dinner, I wanted to wear a transitional look into fall, even though it is still essentially summer here in Los Angeles. Sometimes you can wear your transitional clothes in this city well into fall since it doesnโt get cold until a lot later on. Saturday night I decided to wear some of my spring pieces, but style them in a way to end up with a transitional look into fall. I have put together a few of my thoughts and ideas to share with you a few key tips how to do this.
- Do you want to wear one of your spring jackets for women? Wear a bright color jacket that is typically a spring summer color. I am wearing my coral Zara blazer here which is more of a spring/summer color but the way I have styled it with my jeans and printed scarf, brown shoes and accessories, it can easily be taken into early fall.
- Try open toe booties or sandals that cover more than a typical sandal but can be worn without tights or hosiery. I am wearing my brown gladiator sandals that I bought beginning of summer but because of the color and the amount of coverage I can easily take it into early fall.
- Wear a bright color or pattern scarf as an accent. You can wear a scarf with any summery look and it will take it into an early fall look. I am wearing my bright animal print and floral mix scarf and I love it with my tank top when I take off my jacket.
I hope these are some useful pointers that you can use and expand on, I am sure there are more but these were the ones that applied to my outfit from last weekend.
What are your thoughts on transitioning into fall with mixing some spring pieces? Do you own the perfect spring blazer for women to create this look?
Jacket โ Zara
Jeans โ Rag and Bone
Tank top โ Massimo for Target

Hi Nora
I know what you mean about warm weather It is still warm here in Charlotte, and sometimes I am staring into my closet. I like what you did, you still have some bright colors, I love the jacket, and added some fall type peices, ( you know I love those gladiator shoes), and that really pretty woven brown clutch. You always look fab in jeans, so a great look all around!

Coral is one of my favorite colors – and it’s gorgeous on you! Love the scarf too. We went from summer to fall in one day here. Today it’s 59 and raining – and we have to go outside for a cross country meet. Trying to figure out what to wear!

I love this. I have a Mango coral jacket which is very similar. I love wearing coloured blazers with jeans. I never thought of wearing it though with a patterned scarf, I might give this look a go myself. You look great!

I love your transitional style, Nora, the colour of this jacket is fabulous and you look so radiant!
It is what I do a lot and since our summers aren’t hot, the majority of my wardrobe actually consists of pieces I can wear for more than one season (usually except winter since then we have snow).
Great outfit as always!Annette | Lady of Style

It is warming up again here in St. Louis and I really can only wear my scarves for a couple hours in the morning and then I just want to rip them off, because it gets so hot! With it being in the mid-80’s all next week, I am ready for some cooler weather! I love those fall colors you are wearing, they scarf matches perfectly with the jacket… I am all about layers right now. Those sandals are perfect with your clutch and the rest of the outfit, too!

Hi Carrie,
